Excerpt from the article on mama Benin’s website of 13 evangelical art paintings by the sisters of Saint Augustine

Thirteen paintings entirely created by students were exhibited to share the inspiration, creativity and ability of young women in school and student world to handle drawing tools. Inspired by the theme "Women and education", each of the 13 young artists participated in the creation of these works after four days of intense training in visual arts under the supervision of Sister Henriette Marie Goussikindey.

According to Sister Joséphine N'Dah, representative of the foundation’s superior general, the opening of the works is in perfect harmony with the mission of their religious family. This mission is focused on evangelism, education and social works. According to her, art is a channel of evangelization because it expresses the relationship between human and divine, the heart’s impulse towards God, his joys, his sorrows and his aspirations. Josephine N'Dah called the paintings "a wonder of God for man".

Production and exhibition of works of visual arts. This is one of the activities on the agenda for the golden jubilee of the foundation of the Sisters of Saint Augustine of Benin in their head quarters in Cotonou.
